Digital Infrastructure Hub

The Data Centre manages and monitors the Campus Wide Networking (CWN) facility, ensuring seamless and abundant network connectivity across the entire campus. The network infrastructure supports more than 200 CCTV cameras installed throughout the campus for surveillance and security purposes. The CWN is equipped with three redundant high-end Layer 3 core switches and over one hundred access switches. Connectivity between the core switches and access switches is established through a high-speed multimode fiber-optic backbone, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission across the campus. The institution currently has an internet bandwidth of 1 Gbps, supplemented by an additional 1.2 Gbps redundant internet link to meet the growing internet requirements of students, faculty, and staff. The campus intranet facilitates seamless access to e-journals, digital library resources, online lecture streaming, learning management systems, and various academic and administrative application software. To provide wireless connectivity, the CWN is further supported by 28 Wi-Fi access points strategically located across the campus, enabling uninterrupted internet access for students and staff. To ensure network security, data protection, and uninterrupted connectivity, a high-end enterprise-level firewall has been deployed, safeguarding the institution's digital infrastructure against potential cyber threats while maintaining reliable network performance.
